And the beauty is, it's all powder coated... so very sturdy and durable! The frame goes 3 times into the oven: chrome, the "color" and then the clear coat! (Also helps tempering the frame after welding!) My powder coat guy is also a bike guy and is very open minded (to my sometimes crazy ideas)... and is always up for experiments! Like powder-coating two colors at once what scares usual powder coaters!
Hallo Erwin, ist es möglich so ein Rahmenschloss bei dir zu kaufen? Was würde das kosten inkl. Versand aus der Schweiz nach Deutschland?
Grüße --------------------- Hello Erwin, is it possible to purchase such a frame lock from you? How much would that cost, including shipping from Switzerland to Germany?
The color is called Laser Red! It's actually an intricate set up. You start with chroming the frame first and then applying the translucent Lollipop Red Laser on top of it! It creates a deep Mirror effect that is only hinted in the photos!
There are only 6 Colors! So far I used Red, Blue, Green and Purple on projects in the past... Still to be used is Orange and Yellow!
Here one of the frames after chroming but before painting:
Hi, It's trail and error with this parts as it was never done before! The honest Bike mechanic answer would be, No, it does not work as the crown race and the bearing do not match! But the same it true with the Chris King set up! I tried and it works... so far! I never tried the Cane Creek nor the Token... In theory any 1.5 bearing should work... Good luck with the Project!
I also want to install Lefty Oliver Carbon on my Hooligan!(MY2017) This is very helpful. Thank you. I was in trouble because the crown lace couldn't be removed. I had to use a 36° bearing, and the types of headsets I could use were limited. The press-fit portion of the lower cup of all manufacturers is long. Looks like I have no choice but to disconnect it. I'm thinking of using Cane Creek's EC49 bottom or Token's TK154R, but are the sizes right?
Regards

Benutze momentan einen Shifter von Instinctive:

Hoffe das hilft,

Nur die hohen Felgen in Grün sind mir too much.
Viel Spaß mit dem Rad
