Hey, I recently saw an interview with Andrew Neethling, one of the first pro mountain bikers to use your brace, and he mentioned a downhill specific model, which would have different padding in the back plate to allow for more movement to look upwards than the normal model. Downhillers are in a very different body position than MX guys, as we have to look upwards much more on steep descents, while MX look forward much more. I want to get one of your neck braces, and i know that the rear plat is adjustable, but i do not want to be restricted in looking forward on steep descents, and most of the riding i do comes close to vertical. Will there be a downhill model? or parts that can be swapped for downhill? Thanks so much Fionn
As you have stated “Downhillers†indeed find themselves in steeper technical sections, that are unlike those found in Motocross. In our observations of Downhill mountain biking we have noticed that people’s particular riding style may influence the interaction/moment of the head and the brace, for example if one has a very horizontal back position with a raised chin style, they in particular may feel hindered by the rear platform.
Currently the GPX Club and Sport braces are the most suited to mountain biking. What may help in your case is our optional low profile padding kit, which will be available in stores soon!
Meine Connections sagen mir das das mit der DH-Version nichts neues sein wird. Gerade eine Info direkt von Leatt bekommen, demnach sind in der Vergangenheit ein paar Versuche mit Pro-Downhillern gemacht worden die zum Club oder Sportmodell ein anderes Padding gefahren sind und dieses Padding wird in den nächsten Monaten auf den Markt kommen.
Wer eine Adventure Brace kauft wird mit dem Ofenrohr ins Gebirge sehn denn dafür wird das Pad nicht passen. Hab ich schon immer gesagt - wer billig kauft kauft mist.
Also - die DH-Version basiert auf dem Club oder Sport je nach Geldbeutel mit einem anderen Stoffbezug den man aber optional hinzu kaufen muss. Sonst nix und es ist derzeit nicht geplant den Rahmen bereits mit dem DH-Pad auszuliefern.

@numb87: Ich war leider beim Filmschnitt nicht dabei darum kann ich Dir die Frage leider nicht beantworten. Es hat aber irre viel Arbeit gemacht.
@ flo: Wo gehst Du zum Paintball spieln? Wie ich spiele siehste ja hier in diesem Ordner... auch in BW Flecktarn, manchmal mit Knieschonern wenns heftiger zugeht. Eine eigenen Markierer hab ich nicht, muss das Leihgraffl nehmen.
Airsoftkugeln gibt es in unterschiedlichen Gewichten und je nach Joule der Waffe kann man da die perfekte Kugel kaufen damit es die Kugel nicht verzieht. Auf 15m kannste da ne Red Bull Dose durchlöchern.
Wir haben auch schon aus ca. 10m Entfernung ne Red Bull Dose aufgeschossen indem wir auf die kleine Öffnung am Deckel geschossen haben.
Insgesamt muss ich sagen ist der Schuss schon sehr präzise.
naja schon mit Brille und Gesichtsschutz. Aber sonst keine schutzausrüstung. nur normale BW Kleidung. Also weis ned welche Paintball du hattest, aber meine geht mit Tuninglauf locher über 50m. Naja is jetz eh egal.. aber ich glaub ned, dass die dann noch genau sind. Die kleine Plastikkügelchen verzieht es doch wie sau oder?
