As W. WIlliams was creative for 10 years under Ibis cycles right from the beginning, he made another full circle building bikes himself for such a decade period until 2004
Wes came back to Colorado and returned to Crested Butte to establish Willits brand bicycles and that was said to be his golden era making 28"ers first with finnish "hakkapeliitta" then with german (goliath) army big wheel tires.
Welding a custom run of Ti Rock and Road frames, Bruce Gordon eventually wanted Wes to continue his passion for the bigger wheel touring offroad bike - Willits certainly suceeded in that task, making the idea worth in consideration for every Mountain Biker today..
Then from 1998/99 onwards "real" 29"er thread became available by the help of his long term friends at WTB who had tried to convince about the idea for years.
