Früh geht's immer los beim Cape Epic: Um 7 Uhr Ortszeit fiel heute Morgen der Startschuss für das 96 Kilometer lange Teilstück.
Heiß aber auch windig wird's. Simone Avondetto macht sich bereit für den Tag. Ob die italienischen XC-Spezialisten auch auf der Langdistanz voll mithalten können?
Bei den Damen ist die Sache etwas klarer: Annika Langvad und Sofia Gomez Villafane haben bereits sieben Minuten Vorsprung in der Gesamtwertung. Trotzdem: Für Tag zwei beim Cape Epic ist das noch nicht wirklich sicher!
