#throwbacktuesday | @ridecannondale Hooligan sketch from 2006. My good friend @dodmanchris came up with the idea of a fun, BMX-inspired urban bike and I got to do the ID. The initial concept was to do a durable ball burnished finish, no branding (since we thought it was so recognizable

and a BMX-style handlebar. The front triangle was inspired by the Delta V models from the early 90s. The 3rd image is the original screenshot I got from Chris to base my sketches on. Back then I was so slow in Photoshop that hand sketching was my most useful tool next to 3D-modeling. The bike was launched with a traditional fork, the single sided fork came a year later. Neither the ball burnished finish nor the BMX bar ever made it to production.
