Backstory for the Fish(er) himself,
I put Charlie Cunningham’s scissor cam brakes on this bike. The rear was mounted under the chainstays. I silver soldered the Suntour shifters to the Bullmoose handlebars.. this was right before Charlie made me a (that is to say prototype) type two fork.
I had given Charlie $1000 to get the crown tubing bent. I told my frame builder about my support of Charlie, said frame builder threaten to cut me off of all further sales uness I retrieved the thousand dollars ( ^^ )
The type two fork was an excellent fork and is still being made today by Steve Potts!
Those Sox kept falling down. That was a short fashion in 1980.
...It was a totally cool bike. The d*** a** FrameBuilder I was using at the time threatened to never sell me another frame if I didn’t divest from Charlie Cunningham to develop his type 2 fork. Charlie gave me the money back. In the next year I dumped that s***** frame builder. ... Charlie and Craig Mitchell were truly great inspirations!
