1988 or 1987 (memory escapes me a bit) and my first Mountainbike racing experience at the "Velo Schauff Cup" in Remagen. While it seems like I was listening to the guy talking next to me in reality I was throwing an eye at the "Mountain Klein" bike (the one with drop bars) ...
