this bike originally belonged to Mark Slate from a time when he apprenticed Steve Potts helping him to make labor intense fillet brazed custom frames even before Wtb was founded by the original 3 members.

As an avid racer and true Mtb enthusiast Slate would come to own a couple of Steves as well as "his own" made frames over the years and Charlie even build a very special Cunningham for him.
All privileges of being part of the coolest core Mtb related company over decades.

Sadly true Wtb didn't end up in a happy place for the two main builders and master fabricators with their innovative ideas as the company developed, but thats another story..
