Henrique Avancini (vorne) und Manuel Fumic (hinten) auf der Verfolgung. Auf der gesamten Etappe schien es so, als hätte vor allem Fumic Probleme das hohe Tempo des Spitzenduos mitzugehen.

Wenig später folgte die Rennentscheidung durch die taktisch clevere Attacke des Scott-SRAM-Teams. Hier fährt Nino Schurter noch neben Henrique Avancini, doch wenig später zieht der XC-Weltmeister mit Lars Forster auf und davon.
Der rennentscheidene Moment des Tages. Lars Forster forciert das Tempo, Manuel Fumic kann nur anfangs folgen. Nino Schurter bleibt mit Henrique Avancini zurück und attackiert wenig später.
