3rd dropbar stem in a row now but settled this time on,
..also back to the 1st set of bars how the build initially started out when taken to its maiden voyage-ride with a significantly lower high rise stem.
Here we have again the 3T Wb1 bars,
now combined with a higher short reach LD = Long Distance aka original travel-gravel stem for mtb or long distance off road touring.
Shifting solution has been improved yet staying with friction by Suntour and Wtb inhouse adapter-plates for better operation access. Steve came up with these around 86/87 after Charlie pioneered them as a prototype on his Cunningham Indian #CBC.
Brakelevers are a short reach "compact" and this time Suntour Superb Pro.
The Salsa stem before was used with the tried and true Wtb RM-2 bars
and 2nd Gen Wtb Shifter perches with indexed XT Thumbies in friction mode. In combo with Modolo compact brake levers.
Prior installation consisted of said 3t bars with Suntour Barcons (bar end control shifting), Diamond Back high rise Quill and Dura ace nonaero lever blades.
