No, that was our uphill. For the downhill we took the Trail northwards to the Val Trenzeira. I think that was the right choice.

btw. You judging the south path inappropriate for bike? (too much walking sections)

Jep, the path in the south of Fopel has 3 or 4 unridable climbing sections and some sections which are boring. The path in the north is nearly complete rideable with about 200 switchbacks up to s5
